What do I need to know before I register for the CNA exam?

Before registering for the CNA exam, make sure you have carefully read the policies and requirements of your state.


Since each state approaches the CNA exam slightly differently, you need to be informed about their prerequisites before you decide to register. Carefully go through their list of rules, regulations, and requirements, and make sure you are fully eligible.

You should register for the CNA exam as soon as you have completed all the registration requirements set by your state. 
Also, consider the preparation time. Make sure that you schedule your exam in a way that will allow you to study and practice as much as you feel it's necessary. 

How do I register for the CNA exam?

To register for the CNA exam, you need to complete a registration form. 
You can do this by accessing the Credentia/Prometric website (depending on the state) and logging into your account. 


If your state does not provide the exam through Credentia or Prometric, you should be able to find CNA registration information on your state's Department of Health website.
